In 1987, Russell Hite filled a need in the farrier world. He began designing aprons that were lightweight, yet extremely functional farrier aprons. The heavy full leather design evolved to a durable duck canvas and the incredibly popular original Buddy Canvas Apron was born. After many years of stitching leather and satisfied farriers, "Buddy" passed away.

In March of 2023, Ben and Jessica Pittman made the decision to bring Buddy Aprons back. Ben has been a professional farrier (CF) since 1998 and met Russell in the very beginning of his career. Both Russell and his son, Russ served as mentors in Ben's first few years of business.

Our goal is to preserve the integrity and principles that Russell started with Buddy Aprons. Many designs are the same, with some updates of others. Only the highest quality materials and workmanship leave the shop!
